As one of the member societies of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), We are delighted to introduce their three new advice guides on Hepatology, which are abridged versions of clinical papers designed to make them easier to read and use: short, visual and practical.
All three hepatology advice guides are attached, however we have also provided a link and an introduction for each of the guides below:
The first guide considers the diagnostic and management issues related to paediatric autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and is designed to inform healthcare professionals on complicated clinical scenarios, including diagnoses criteria, features (both pathological and clinical), disease severity & associated conditions, and treatments. Click here to view the guide in full.
The second guide looks at the diagnostic and management issues related to paediatric autoimmune sclerosing cholangitis (ASC) and seeks to provide guidance on complicated clinical scenarios to healthcare professionals, including diagnosis, features, treatments and a comparative look at the differences between juvenile ASC and PSC. Click here to view the guide in full.
The final guide outlines management issues related to liver transplantation (LT) and is designed to be read alongside the advice guides on AIH and ASC. It considers LT as a treatment option for AIH and ASC patients, discussing both the recurrence of Autoimmune Hepatitis (including de novo AIH) and Sclerosing Cholangitis after Liver Transplantation.
