Imaging in pediatric liver diseases

The evaluation of hepatic diseases in children is almost always a multimodality process, requiring multiple imaging tests: Ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Their cross-sectional imaging characteristics differ and have distinct roles in the detection, and characterization of hepatic disease in children.
