Neuromodulation for chronic refractory constipation in children

Neuromodulation can be used in the treatment of constipation in children after failure of pharmacological treatment. Invasive and noninvasive techniques are currently available. Patients with constipation and fecal/urinary incontinence seem to be the perfect candidates; however further studies are needed to confirm long-term effects
