Viral hepatitis in children – a narrative review focusing on at risk children

Viral hepatitis is a major cause of liver disease and associated morbidity and mortality worldwide. Children significantly contribute to the epidemiological burden of viral hepatitis. In this narrative review, the clinical features of hepatitis caused by the major hepatotropic viruses will be discussed, with a focus on preventive strategies and treatment options.
