Malnutrition rates in children with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) range from 6% to 65%. To promote optimal growth, the target inta-ke of macro- and micro-nutrients must be carefully balanced based on the child’s taste and culture, physical activity, stage of CKD, and trends in serum levels of azotemia, electrolytes, parathormone, and vitamins over time. We synthetize the recent literature to cover the principal aspects of nutrition in this specific population.
