Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS) is characterized by acute, stereotyped, and recurrent episodes severe vomiting with predictable periodicity and return to baseline health between episodes. The distinctive on-off temporal pattern is essential for diagnosis, but baseline testing toward identifying organic causes is recommended. The management of CVS requires an individually tailored therapy that includes prophylactic measures and medications administered in the interictal period and acute and supportive interventions given during attacks.
