Artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology that enables machines to process information at or above human level. AI has been used in several areas of gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy to detect and characterize benign and malignant GI lesions. The implementation of AI technologies can improve the diagnosis rate, reduce the rate of missed diagnosis and improve the quality of endoscopy.
