Obstructive gastrointestinal diseases affect 0,5-2/1000 live borns. Ultrasound scan represents the first line screening for fetal anomalies. Ultrasound features of gastrointestinal obstructive diseases differ depending on the level of the obstruction. Prenatal diagnosis is difficult and often occurs at advanced gestational age: in these cases a multidisciplinary approach involving obstetricians, neonatologists and pediatric surgeons is needed.
