Helicobacter pylori colonizes the human stomach during childhood and survives in the human stomach throughout life. H. pylori- infected subjects may have a variety of clinical patterns, from asymptomatic to gastric cancer. There are many diagnostic tests for H. pylori infection, invasive and non-invasive techniques both in the diagnosis and in monitoring the effectiveness of treatment.
