Baby-led weaning has been suggested as the most natural way of introducing complementary foods in infant feeding, but there is no evidence of its benefits since the few existing studies have considerable methodological bias. On the other hand, the same studies do not consider nutritional aspects and their effects on metabolism (protein, salt and sugars excess).
