Intractable diarrhea in the first three months of life. Which is the diagnosis?

Intractable diarrhea during the first trimester of life with the necessity of parenteral nutrition (PN) is defined asIntestinal Failure (II). It is induced by several conditionsand it represents a challenge for the clinicians. The etiological diagnosis could be difficult and complicated by overlapping form. In this report we present a “poket” algorithm useful in the differential diagnosis and in the clinical practice.
