Drug induced liver injury: is paracetamol the main offender?

Potentially, all drugs can be hepatotoxic. Drug Induced Liver Injury diagnosis is based on the exclusion of other liver diseases. Paracetamol is preferable over ibuprofen in chronic liver disease patients. Commonly used antibiotics are generally not hepatotoxic. In patients with pre-existing liver disease, azithromycin should be avoided.
